We are hiring EXPERIENCED landscape construction laborers for full-time positions. We are looking for someone who has verifiable landscape construction/installation experience with planting, pavers, synthetic turf, irrigation, landscape lighting.

Job Duties: Will include digging holes & trenches, raking, shoveling, wheelbarrow work, plant material installation, irrigation installation, decorative rock installation, carrying and installing pavers, installing outdoor kitchens and structures, installing synthetic turf and sod, installing and hand tucking pine straw, and general cleanup work.

Required Skills: Take direction and perform assigned landscaping tasks in a productive, efficient, and safe manner; must be able to perform physical labor for long periods of time in a variety of conditions; must have clear and effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, be able to work independently, and also able to work as part of a team.

Must be able to be come to work daily and be dependable and professional.

Preferred: Minimum of 4 years of experience. Valid Driver's License. English/Spanish speaking preferred.
Pay is based on experience. Paid time off & Paid holidays after successful completion of 90 Day probationary period.

We are searching for a responsible, EXPERIENCED, energetic, friendly, outgoing, reliable person for a newly created position within a long established rapidly growing landscape company in lovely Hilton Head Island, SC. Candidate MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH CLEAN DRIVING RECORD, MUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE TO GET TO AND FROM WORK EACH DAY, MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK, MUST SUBMIT TO AND PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN. MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 4 YEARS OF LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE FOREMAN EXPERIENCE (PREFERABLY WITH THE SAME COMPANY).

• Assistant Manager will be working closely with Landscape Maintenance Account Manager, Landscape Maintenance crew leaders and crew members, Landscape Production Manager, Installation foreman, and General Manager. This position is an in the field, hands on leadership and training position.
• This position will report directly to the Maintenance Account Manager and/or Landscape Production Manager.
• Successful candidate will be hungry and ready to lead, ensure quality of our services are held to the highest standard, and enforce the professional culture of our company. Candidate must be able to lead and direct peers.
• Candidate must have an impeccable attention to detail, knowledge of industry standards and client expectations. Candidate must be have the ability to effectively and accurately diagnose and identify common landscape concerns. Candidate must have the ability to teach proper techniques of landscape maintenance to crew members as needed in a professional and respectful manner.
• Candidate must be able communicate effectively, professionally, and appropriately
• Candidate will always represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
• Candidate will be proactive, will assist with team meetings, will participate in management meetings, and will complete frequent inspections on our maintenance properties.
• Candidate may have to go and get equipment and supplies and take them to our installation and maintenance crews as needed.
• Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles. Ensure that all maintenance crew members and crew leaders are also maintaining equipment properly.
• Attend training classes and seminars as requested by executive management.

Assistant Manager must have the following:

• 4 years minimum landscape maintenance foreman experience (preferably with the same company)
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record and your own reliable transportation to and from work daily.
• Must be self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills.
• Must be professional in appearance and actions.
• Must be detail oriented and quality driven.
• Must be well organized with strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Absolute essential ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must take ownership of their work and own the responsibilities of making sure things are done accurately and to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
• Ability to work under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities and without supervision.
• Ability to work overtime, and possibly, although rarely weekends should the workload warrant especially during the busy seasons, holidays and dependent upon rain outs.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.

Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday except where noted above. Paid holidays and paid time off upon successful completion of 90 Day probationary period.
